Borrowing Equipment from ITDRC
When disaster disrupts communications, ITDRC provides the technology your community needs to recover — Wi-Fi, satellite and cellular connectivity, charging, device lending, and more. We provide this equipment free of charge and on loan, so your community can get back online and back to work.
How It Works
It's a loan, not a bill
The equipment belongs to ITDRC and stays ours the whole time it's with you. You'll never receive a bill, and there's nothing to sign.
Your site card
Every deployment comes with a card listing your Site ID and how to reach us. Keep it — the Site ID connects you to your equipment and is your reference for service or return.
Taking care of it
Give the equipment reasonable care. Ordinary wear in a disaster is expected — you won't be penalized. If something's damaged, lost, or stolen, just let us know.
Returning it
When you no longer need it, reach out with your Site ID, or we'll check in as the response winds down. Either way, we make it easy — there's no deadline to watch.
Voluntary Agencies, Government & Operational Sites
The same model applies to partners and operational sites: ITDRC retains ownership, equipment is provided at no cost for the duration of the operation, and the Site ID is the shared reference for service and return. For long-term deployments or high-value equipment such as a hotspot trailer, we may put a short written agreement in place.
